How Failover works
With DIBS Failover we ensure that you can process Visa and MasterCard transactions even though your primary acquirer is out of order. Failover works by continuously monitoring the connection to your primary acquirer (e.g. PBS in Denmark) and, in case the acquirer experiences down time, automatically reroutes all Visa and MasterCard transactions to a back-up acquirer that your business has an agreement with.
The advantages of Failover
With Failover you are provided with an increased likelihood of completing Visa and MasterCard transactions, so that you do not lose sales.
Failover requirements
1. An acquirer agreement with a back-up acquirer. DIBS can assist you with setting one up.
2. An additional agreement to your existing DIBS subscription that allows DIBS to direct transactions to your back-up acquirer.
