eDankort is a payment type launched by PBS and by the danish banks. With eDancard the customer pays directly in his/her netbank and the payment is primarily as an account-to-account across all banks.
This has a range of advantages which is in brief:
- First of all the shop has a much larger security for the transaction, since the identity of the customer is stated in connection with the transfer (via login in the netbank). Due to this PBS has chosen to rise the coverage guarantee to DKK 3000,- against DKK 1000,- for ordinary dancard transactins.
- Secondly teenagers under 18 years can also purchase. All that's needed is an attachment to a danish netbanking system.
- Thirdly no attachment to any specific bank is needed to be able to recieve payments with eDankort.
